Farewell to Summer

As I write, it is the eve of Fall Equinox and I am having mixed feelings about the end of Summer. On one hand, I’m ready for the cooler weather, no mosquitos, and all things fall, but I will miss the freedom of summer–the long days and sun on your face. Fall will forever remind me of our wedding, preparing and scrambling to get everything done before starting our lives together on that day in November.

Enough reminiscing….

We get an F for blog follow-through this past month, from no fault but our own. It’s hard to sit and be quiet after a long day of work when you just want to watch Sherlock and fall asleep. That sentence alone means we are officially in our mid-20s and becoming full fledged adults! We’ve even been trying (and sometimes succeeding) to wake up early to eat breakfast and read Common Prayer together, and possibly get in a run before work.  It really helps to start off the day un-rushed and already accomplishing something small and good for you.

We have big plans for the blog in October, where we’ll have more consistent posts and a fun series to go along with our “This Week in Marriage” section. We’ll get the RWL posts done for September (and August…whoops), and share some tiny projects we’ve been working on, including building our own desks an redoing the shutters that were left by the previous owners. We’re looking forward to attending the Nashville Storyline conference in mid-October, and for our teams to play each other & determine if the Aggies really are better than the Rebels. Plus, the outcome will decide which ornament goes on front of the Christmas tree this year 🙂

Stay with us! We love all our readers and have loved all the positive feedback we’ve been getting from our family and friends.
